The Bounty is a singles hangout basically (haven't stayed but have seen) which is good or bad depending on your circumstances. As for cost, you really need to give some info about the sort of holiday you expect to have. As an example, I spent about AU$1000 for about four weeks. That included buying a camera ($300), paying my half of accomodation (staying at places which cost between $7 and $20 per room), a horrendous amount of shopping, a day at Waterbom Park, whitewater rafting, Bird and Reptile Park, lots of chartered transport and a couple of full days of sight seeing and eating at cheap - expensive restaurants. I could have done it a lot cheaper I suppose, but it was cheap anyway and I had a great time. As an example of prices, 30,000rps would be an expensive main course! Around 15,000rps would be reasonable, desserts are around 5-10,000rps. Although it all depends where you are and what you eat.
