Shar^kie gave good advise (as allways) but just one more thing... if looking for seafood in Sanur, try Bonsai Cafe near the beach market.
After dark they have fresh seafood they will BBQ for you. You don't have the sunset as at Jimbaran Bay, but it is only a good walk or short taxi drive from your hotel. Also if you go to Bonsai Cafe, try their Prawn Paradiso....half a pineapple filled with small prawns !!! just about the best prawn coctail I've ever had & only about Rp10,000.

Sanur is not a party spot at night, but there are plenty of places to go for a drink and a chat with the locals, and I find that much better than a noicy nightclub (which I can go to everyweekend at home).

Sanur is also a great starting point for day trips, one driver I can recomend is Made Swastika who can be found outside Sri Partha Bank on the main street.

Don't miss a day trip to Ubud....great market, nice views & very good resturants. A must is a visit to Monkey forrest... but go after 11am as the monkey can be a bit too eager for food first thing in the morning !!! Having a monkey sitting on your lap eating peanuts or bananas, or maybe stealing your water bottle is just something you shouldn't miss !!!

Above all have fun & get to know the place :)
