Hi there Kenny,

Hope this helps

1.As I am traveling to Bali from Ireland, I will need to change my money into another currency. Which is best US Dollars or Sterling.
A. Dosent matter US$ or Sterling , what ever is easier and will cost you less to convert to , as both are widely accepted. Get large denominations as they attract better exchange rates.( make sure if you get US$ that it is the latest released currency as there is a lesser exchange rate for old notes.)

2. Is Sanur nice, Bali Hyatt.
A. Sanur is nice however a lot quieter than Kuta ( Kuta is the party place )There are a couple of disco's , reggae bar and fun bars in Sanur.
Bali Hyatt is a very large hotel and is one of the best in Sanur. I havent stayed there so perhaps someone who has would be better to tell you about the staff and rooms at the hotel.

3. Is the shellfish safe to eat, as I love Prawns.
A. Yes shellfish is fine. I live on Crayfish and prawns when I am there :)If you are in desperate need of fresh prawns get to Jimberan bay , although they are a little dearer there, they are fresh. You can walk the miles of restaurants selling seafood and check out their "LIVE" stock from the fresh seafood containers out the front of each restaurant.

4. Is the weather good in August, as I arrive on the 15th of Aug
Weather should be Great but I am not god.

5. Anything eles of use to a first timer welcome.
I have some hints on my home page listed below for first timers to bali. Print the hints page :)

6. People say dont put ice in your drinks, is this true.
I have ice in all my drinks and I am still alive.

Cheers have fun.
