Sanur and the Puri Mesari Hotel

We are going to Bali Sept for 10 days, and we are looking to stay in Sanur and use it as our base.

We are looking for a good hotel on the Sanur beach (a/c). From reading the Forum we see bad things about eating in hotels, so we are also looking for a location that is near local (cheap) restaurants.

I have heard about the Puri Mesari Hotel, has anyone been there?
