Hotels in North Kuta or Legian

Hi,

I'm taking my wife to Bali for our 5th wedding anniversary at the end of September. We'd like to stay in the north part of Kuta or on Legian. Can Anyone reccommend a good hotel close to the beach. I'd like to spend around $80-140 tax included. If you know of any cosy hotels in Ubud in the same price range, prefferably one of the nweer "boutique" hotels, I'd love to know.
