The local village to the north of the Nusa Dua resort is called Bualu.
This village(within easy walking distance) has a street of restaurants - west and parallel to the entry gates of the resort compound.
Their are many seafood, chinese and a great mexican there. Same food and alcohol prices as Kuta, Sanur, Ubud etc. The Galleria which is in the resort area has dozens of restaurants also, and whilst expensive in comparison to Bualu prices is nonetheless cheap by our standards. We often stay in the Nusa Dua area with our kids and love it, especially at the end of a trip, SO relaxing and peaceful.
While the the hotel restaurants are expensive, they reflect the standards of their ilk, and at the risk of sounding like a cultural sloth, a Hyatt Caesar can be welcome. It is of course a $2.00 taxi drive to Kuta and Poppies,T.J's or Made's Warung - and even less to Jimbaran.......enjoy.
