I know it is totally incomprehensible to us Bali lovers, but some people don't like it! Some people just don't travel well. When you go somewhere different, it will be different, and some people are not comfortable with that. They need consistency more than adventure. Kaz look around buy a beachhouse somewhere you like, preferrably as similar to home as possible. I do think your package was bad as there are wonderful amazing hotels and the airport seems to be crammed with late model vans and driven by smiling guys holding signs. I would complain to your agent, but I wouldn't risk returning if I were you. Bali is so crowded already with people who love the food, and all the stuff for sale. I for one always leave with 3 times what I came with and have dreams about The food when I'm stuck in the states. I can't believe you ate at MacDonald's, but even that is better than here in the states. They actually gave real glasses and silverware! I think the french fries were fresh, not from frozen chemical potatoes.
