Unfortunately, Maggs... I am to blame...I just could not resist. Did not mean to offend anyone...I save that for the other forum. And truth be told...I somewhat sympathize with poor Kaz. My first trip in the early 80's left me overwhelmed and deathly ill. But, I found and still find the people to be warm, open, honest and loving. I continue to be fascinated with the religion and culture, while appalled by some of the other aspects of the place. I found it incredible to read about her having done some research on this forum, and not having a clue as to what she was in for, but different strokes for different folks, yeah? I remain hopefull that Bali will be able to keep its culture intact, despite the onslaught of tourism and commercialism. I also hope that those who decide to visit will make an attempt to get out of their pool lounges, hotel rooms and luxury compounds and try to find a taste of something besides cheap merchandise, Kuta/Sanur/Nusa Dua nightlife and hawker hassles. O.K. Boss? Maybe tomorrow?
