We have read your report, and thought your comments were accurate,and indeed fair, based on what you found in Bali...however, you didn't find the Bali that most of us have come to know and love...the real Bali..the clean areas, and the lovely people...sure, you chose to eat, drink and shop in and around the hotel..but you can do that in Surfers Paradise or Hawaii..or any other place you wish, and see about the same..squat!!! Our only wish is that one of the experienced Bali travellers..say Sharkie, ourselves, Maggs and several other "regulars" could have been on hand to "show you the ropes"....you would have enjoyed it much more.....and that is probably something well worth considering for the first timers...try to go with someone who has been before..it is invaluable....
