Thanks Paul for the info. To renee - sorry to relate that all of the Beach Bars have been closed/pulled down since last September. My favourite haunt was Pantai V on the beach next to the Padma. Formerly well known as the "Monkey Bar". I have managed to maintain contact
with some of the staff Hans (Peeping Tom), Bagus, Lorens and the beautiful Dewi from the kitchen. Actually Hans and Bagus are now working for the same boss (Big Hans) in his new restoran. Lorens is
with an Adventure Rafting outfit. If anyone is interested I can provide details. I too will be interested to find out how the changes have affected my holiday paradise next May when I intend to return.
