2 years ago i was in ubud during galungan...you better try to get transportation arranged well in advance. i couldn't even get a ride across ubud on a motorbike during those days (it is a 3 day + holiday)..and that in a village where you can't walk 3 feet without someone yelling "transport" at you. it is the biggest holiday of the year and everyone is busy making offerings and going home to their native villages...good luck.
