What a coincidence, I too am Anita, and I too will be in Bali in November.
Galungan falls on 9th June, 1999 and Kuningan is on 19th June, 1999.
The next Galungan should fall on approx. January 15th, 2000 by my calculation.
How strange that you should state that it never rains on Galungan, we were there for Galungan in 1994, and we never saw a drop.
I have just this morning found a wonderfully informative Bali site, which includes a calendar of Ritual Events & Temple ceremonies, which you too may enjoy the web address is:

They also list a Bali chat line which sounds interesting, but I have not found it operating as yet, will keep trying.
