As you have travelled in and enjoyed Thailand then I am sure you will have a great time in Bali. There is an element of culture shock for some people on their first visit to S.E. Asia, once you get over that (if you get over it) then it can be wonderful. The beaches may not compare to those in Thailand but get out into central and northern Bali and real cultural and scenic treat awaits. Spend some time in Ubud and tour from there. I would suggest you get a driver guide to show you around and avoid the package tour buses. Have a great time. Sue
