There are different kinds of massage. I prefer professional therapeutic massage designed to heal and rebalance the body. In Ubud the master is Wayan Weda, on the main street a couple of blocks from the market. He has a big bulletin board outside. Hard to miss. He is third or fourth generation traditonal Bali massage therapy. People come from all over the world to see him. He does not slather you with yoghurt or rub you down with whatever. He does make his own massage oil to exacting standards.
