Sorry cant help much with the hotel...If you are travelling Singapore airlines..they should be able to do a package before you leave....If not try youyr travel agent as Singapore isnt like Bali where you can just walk in and barter a rate.
I would suggest Sim Lim Square for any of your electronics as its %20 cheaper than the duty free at the airport...
When you arrive in Singapore...grab a booklet telling you whats on that month and you will find that the tourist association in singapore are very good and will be offering great day and half day tours...
Check out Santosha island( think thats how its spelt ).
Boat Quay and Clark Quay for food...good restaurants and bars...all the locals eat and drink there. ( book a taxi for your return as after midnight you can only get a taxi if you call and give them an address , its extremely hard to get one off the street as I found out )
