By jamu, I believe you are referring to traditional Indonesian herbal mixes. As an herbalist, I have tried to find out information, also. To date there is very little in English about traditional Indonesian medical herbs - an Australian woman I met last year in Ubud is writing one. Your best bet is to go to a Jamu Shop and buy some of the ones you are interested. The little paper that comes inside the box tells you the ingredients of each formula with the latin names of the herbs.
