I have used the internet for booking accomodation in Bali several times and I have found it to be VERY efficient. I have always got the room i booked at the hotel I wanted.
Last year , when i was checking in , the receptionist brought out a large book , to confirm my booking and I was amazed at the % of internet bookings they had in the register...well over 60%...
Take a copy of any email you have received regarding confirmation of your booking and there shouldnt be any problems.
