Dates to Watch:

"Following is the current schedule for the upcoming MPR elections. Please note that, although the June 7 date of the election is firm, other dates may be changed by the election commission or Government of Indonesia as this process proceeds. We have no specific reason to expect that any of these dates will be associated with unrest, but advise American citizens to be aware of these milestones in the election.

1. Registration of Voters: April 5 - May 7
2. Campaign days: May 19 - June 4
3. Silent Days: June 5-June 6
4. Voting day : June 7
5. Counting Votes: June 7 - June 21
6. Determination of Election Outcome: June 28 - July 8
7. Legalization of Results and notification to National/Provincial/District Parliament candidates: July 12-July 20
8. Oath Taking Ceremony for District Parliament members : July 26-29
9. Oath Taking Ceremony for Provincial Parliament members : August 19
10. Oath Taking Ceremony for National Parliament /Legislature Members: October 1-3"
