Try to book a garden cottage, not a room in the multi-storey complex.
It is a much nicer way to soak up the atmosphere of Bali, being able to smell the flowers, and hear the noises of the local wildlife. It is also a much more relaxed way to holiday, not having to ride lifts and walk through foyers in your bikini.
