I have the same fear of sharks! My lovely friend Harry who is a Dive Guide with Blue Marlin on Gili Trawangan and has been diving almost all of his life told me;"You come diving with me. When we meet a shark, I'll introduce you. They all know me. If you're a friend of Harry's they'll leave you alone." My best advice, talk to Harry.
