Mandia has a sign on the street right next to the puri garden hotel and rest. on the right hand side of monkey forest rd facing away from the monkey forest sanctuary about a mile up. If you pass the football field you've gone too far. They were charging 70,000 per night as of a few weeks ago, but I went with a place with a/c, but I can tell you it was very pretty and their fans were ceiling fans. There were I believe four bungalows, two with shared wall, two that were on top of each other. Had it been available, I would have aken the upstairs one in spite of the lack of a/c as ubud is fairly cool compared to the beach areas of bali. I thought the place quite charmingm if one does not mind the lack of a/c and pool.
I did notice that the young fellows who run the place spend an inordinate amount of time sitting around on the street in from their losmen chitchatting away if you walk slowly enough. Annoying.
