the ferry costs about 9000 rp (leaves from padangbai) and takes about 4 hours or more if the waters rough. The mabua exress (which departs a small port near Sanur) costs 20 to 30 dollars depending on the class you choose. Diamond class is NOT WORTH IT.
The plane was my first choice but I was outvoted, but there were seats available with only one days notice low season. We were told flying actually costs about five bucks us less than diamond class on the mabua.
