Hey,
I am a fairly enthusiatic still photographer and audio gear fanatic, but I am not very savvy about new home video gear. I am not familiar with all the the terminology being used here, so I hope someone can help. I am from the US, and am about to get a videodisc system. Here in the states, the only format that shows any promise is called DVD. It is a CD size disc system that can be used on PCs or with TV top players. We use the NTSC standard, but I am unsure if this applies. Many of the playstation add-on,s etc that are mentioned in the forum seem like something unknown here in the US. Can someone clarify for me if the discs that people keep mentioning are the same as the DVD discs I am familiar with. Also, leads on where to find deals on nicer stuff would be helpful......DVD titles or high-end software, CPUs--Intel PIII or similar, home or club audio gear--especially dual CD consoles with built in mixers or samplers or CD burners, cool photo gear--mamiya 6x7, nikon f3/4/5, nicer video gear--canon L1/2/3 or sony/nikon with zero luxe ccd...............
Thanx,
Michael
