Gili Air hotel look kinda like the enchanted tiki room at disneyland. Kinda tacky, but it sthe only place on G Air with air con. Except for the Gili Indah (which I stayed at and quite liked), most of the other places where where very similar to each of; cheap, stuffy, but usally very cute (little huts on stilts).
I believe there are air con hotels on trawangan, which is the party island. If anyone asks you if you like bob marley, they are not interested in your musical tastes, btw.
