The Mata Hari was the best thing about my trip to Bali.
The accommodations were 5 diamond. The food and service were unreal. I stayed at the Hyatt- Nusa Dua (which was fantastic) and the Sheraton Laguna- Nusa Dua, but they don't come close to the Mata Hari. Sure- pay $40 a night and stay at the Holiday Inn, or for a mere $100 stay in one of the best places in the world...
Some of the best diving in the world (Menjongan Island) is but a 20 minute drive away. They also have their own reef, hobie cat, massages on the beach for $10 USD, and only 32 rooms in the entire resort. Transportation is provided.
I have every intention of going back to the Mata Hari as fast as I can. It's that good...
