Hi!
Been to bali 5 times so I think Ihave some good advice to give a way. Dont give away the luggage to porters at the airport. They try to very hard to got hold on your bags and charged you a lot of maney for it. Pay the taxi in the counter just outside the airport (fixed price), and dont change to much money at the airport, bad rate. Kuta is the center for entertaiment, disco, waterpark, livemusic etc. Stay at Suju Bungalow :sujibglw@sujibglw.co.id,
at Poppies Lane, good and cheap, about 120 000 rupiha for doubleroom. Kuta is the place for shopping if you not going to Candidasa and Asri Shop. Fixed price and very cheap and good selection of stuff. Cheapest in Bali I think. Stay at Dewa Barath in Candidasa, 120 000 rs doubleroom, supernice garden and nice little pool, but not so good food. Ida Homstay have 2 nice and big, cheap bungalows. If you like to spend 50 – 60 US Dollar go to Watergarden. Supernice bungalows and garden. One of the best places on bali for that price. Take a tour to Tirtaganga waterpalace, very nice and you can stay there in prince own botanical garden, in his bungalow, with a fantastic bathroom. I f you go to sanur try Wirasana Bungalow: wirasana@indosat.net.id, for 90 – 100 000 rs. You can use the 2 nice pools at Swastika ( very close). Eat at Lotus Pond in Sanur. Good place. In Ubud try Sri Bungalow at Monkey Forest Road. Nice garden, good breakfast, pool, and cheap. If you like to stay in the jungel try Bunga Permai: theothea@indo.net.id , only 10 rooms, with slopedge pool and nice garden, You pay around 40 US for a room, try Nr 7 or 8 (best). If you go to Amed stay at Good Karmas superbungalow for around 75 000 rs, fantastic bungalow for the whole family. Supernice place even if the beach not are so super. Good for snorkling. In Lovina go to Kalibukbuk and stay at Rini Bungalow, superplace, cheap and nice. And dont forget to bargain all the time. Like to know more? Just email me!
