When you get the blue taxi to Denpasar (with the meter on - don't shut door until he does that) you'll then know how much it costs and you can bargain a price (knowing what you should pay) with a bemo.
Why I say this is because its 'a little' easier finding a bemo than a taxi.
And for the record I never had a trouble getting the taxi's to put their meters on. Maybe a little bit of yes - no - yes - no - but they always did it. And I'm talking about ANY colour taxi....... so don't be too worried about the colour.
