My friends stayed at the Indah late last year and were quite impressed by it. I think you can have massages overlooking the beach, which is a bit more civilsed (and expensive) than actually on the beach. The hawkers etc are located at end of beach - near Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Hyatt I think.
Main hint I have is that you can use each hotels facilities, so if you don't feel like travelling out for a meal etc, compare the surrounding hotels on your mid afternoon walk, sample their pools etc e tc. Also, they all seem to have theme nights which may be of interest to you.
