I keep hearing bad things about airport moneychangers, but last year our Hotel forgot to come and pick us up, and so we had to take a taxi, there was no point in phoning the hotel to come as it is about 40 minutes from Ubud.
The taxi driver and the porter that night arranged a money change for us. When I said that I would have to go back into the airport to change some money they both came with me and made sure that I wasn't 'done' I was sceptical at the time as it had been a year since I'd been there, but sure enough in Ubud the next morning the exchange rate wasn't nearly so good. Was this unusual?
P.S. By the way last moneychanger probably means the one just to the left of the door that you exit the building by (Yes Kathy?) I think that this might have been the one that I used on the night I mention.
