Before Hanuman gets a chance to answer your question and scare you to death, rest assured that in all likelyhood, Bali will be just fine. Regardless of the fact that this particular election is of extreme importance, and its results will likely determine the future of Indonesia for several years to come, Bali should be quite safe. You may well expect, and be quite certain to be witness to emphatic rallies and motorcades of enthusiastic supporters of the PDI party, but these pose little if any threat to tourists. The most you can confidently rely on is traffic delays as a result of these motorcades. Come, and have a great time!
