Camera?

I am debating whether or not to buy a "cheaper" point and click 35mm camera when I get to Bali. I have a nice camera with multiple lenses, but would like to leave that one at home. Am I better off buying the point and click camera before I leave, or will I be able to get a good deal on one in Bali?
