Not that I've pushed a pram, but watching people with them in Bali, it is really tough on the pram. If you are taking one, take an old one that you can ditch over there (or give to someone else). Think you'd need one though unless you carry the six month old around a'la Bali in a sarong wrapped around yur upper body, kind of like a sling to put the baby in.
