Stayed there a couple of years ago, we did not like it very much, big impersonal, tired place, no character. Close to shopping yes, if that is your main criterion it could suit, but I would think there would be more enjoyable hotels also close enough to the shopping areas. Maybe we were biased as we arrived there from Ubud and it was a let down. Others may give better reports, John
