Just flew Malaysian Perth/ KL return in a 777, it was great with a multitude of entertainments and services on your personal screen, not internet though! They do seem to like to catch you at KL for a few hours this gives the people at the airport something to do and a chance to part you from some money, and gives you time to get lost, and find yourself again.. It is a huge marble mini city, but too far out, about 70 k's from KL to make a sightseeing trip worthwhile. To relieve the boredom you can take repeated free trips on the "air train" connecting the domestic and international sections. My timing was 2 minutes and 2 seconds one way. This means in six hours you could do the trip 177 times but this would put you in the domestic area. You can also ride on several miles of travelators which is fun as you can just walk gently but really whiz along. The trolleys are really smooth and work well, and come in two sizes. There is a cheaper food hall (The "Green Garden") of a pleasant standard downstairs, they have curry puffs which melted in the mouth for R4.80, about $2.00 Aust., 1/2 the price of upstairs. There are numerous shops and a few cafes dotted around. The toilets are very clean so that's another thing to do. Take a good book! have no apprehensions about Malaysian Airlines, they are quite OK if a bit strange to deal with via their sales/marketing approach. John
