Recently purchased 4 quilts in Bali, ready made. They weren't little pieces of fabric sewn together but had beautiful colours and patterns on them. Paid 100000 rupiah in Git Git and about 75000 in Denpasar (slightly different quality). My driver later told me that he knows where they make them (somewhere near Ubud) although I didn't go there myself. I would suggest that you try and visit there early in your stay to give them enough time to make them up for you. Maybe you could draw a picture beforehand to give them an idea.
