The above information about Wayan is correct, although I think his wife's name is Made Merta.
We came to Wayan Purya on the advice of friends who have known him for years. (BTW Harold, I think you're replying about another of the thousands of Wayans). Because of this and the fact that we had hired him for the entire length of our stay, we brought his entire family gifts. Wayan received an umbrella in the shape of a baseball cap, (which he apparently loves and keeps under lock and key), his wife was given a Scrabble game which she brought to her class, although I think it was a bit too difficult. The children were given Sesame Street games , books, umbrellas and art supplies. They were not familiar with Sesame Street though.
I have since sent him (for doing me a big favour), an engraved pocketflashlight, perfume for his wife and small stuffed teddybears for the kids. I think anything you bring will be very appreciated.

PS. If you really want to get him going, start singing the lyrics to the Bee Gees song To Love Somebody! You'll take him by surprise for sure...;-)
