I agree with Deb 100%, especially about the "horrible green and gold tuxedos" the male flight attendants wear. When I woke up from a long nap, I was suddenly horrified. I though I was back in time at a 1970's wedding...my own...and what a disaster!

When flying from LA to Denpasar, the layover in Kuala Lumpur is overnight at the Concord Inn. When you first see this place, it looks as though you've arrived at an army barrack. Another horrible dejavu! But don't worry, in spite of its spartan appearance, the Concorde Inn isn't that bad and the food is great. KL's airport is a sight to behold in its own right and far more practical than Hong Kong's new airport.

Last I checked, this was about the cheapest RT airfare to Bali available from LA and the U.S. domestic partner is Northwest...not bad. I'll take them again, in spite of the lost day going and coming in KL.
