If in Ubud, and it is VERY nice, then go to not the Amandari, it's too impersonal, not the Ibah, it's often too hot, go either to Pita Maha, which is up nice and high and very airy, the meals in the rooms cost the same as in the "dining room" (after what is a honeymoon all about?)! most of the villas have a plunge pool, and some have a larger pool, the staff couldn't be nicer or more attentive. Or else go the Kupu Kupu Barong, and stay in the Barong Suite, it has a good size swimming pool all of it's own and can't be seen close enough from any of the other villas to see anything! It also has a wonderful view of rice paddies, but they can't see you, and a fantastic view of the big river (Os?) but they also can't see you. The only slight aggravation is the often heard sound in the day of screaming tourists doing the white water rafting. But it is far enough away for it not to matter much.
The Pita Maha will dress you in the traditional gear for a local wedding and arrange for your picture to be taken, and they often have some spectacular dances performed in the Hotel grounds, in the dryer months they build a platform over the pool for these, and the food just goes on for Miles and Miles, far too much for the guests to eat. Both Hotels are expensive, but hell you only honeymoon once (don't you???) but you can bargain, unless you are determined to shoot yourselves in the foot and do a package!
Hope you
