The bird market is as the name would suggest ;) a bird market. It is situated off Jalan Veteran just down from the big four-headed statue.
They have lots of birds and other animals for sale, it is quite intruiging. There is also a small market at the back, near the temple that sells watches, jewellery, herbal cures etc. It is a market for the locals and not aimed at tourists, but nonetheless they see you coming and try to empty your pockets (in the nicest possible way), when you try to purchase anything. It is very interesting and well worth a look.
