If you have or can purchas the B & B map of Bali it shows all these little roads, although I cannot find the one you mention, there is another on that follows the Batur rim for a while and then veers off to the north coast. It also shows a road that circumnavigates the rim of Mt Batur. We have travelled some of these roads by car and most are quite good. Quite passable by motorbike I should think.
