Well my fiance and i took with us about 700.00 and made available more while we were there and yes we needed it. If you plan on buying heaps then its always handy to have extra on hand. You also have to budget for food and tours and we sometimes went through our million rupie in one day due to shopping bulk and relaxing for a few days after that so take a good look around ands then get what you want.
