Never saw any snakes at the birdmarket.
It's well worth a visit although not all taxi drivers know where it is. Only saw birds there but there are some curio sellers at the back of the market. Beads, watches etc.
The market is for locals and is very popular and crowded with few english speakers. Although the Balinese love their birds the majority of the birds here have recently been trapped in the mountains or have come from Java and some are in poor condition.
