Have just returned from a pre departure medical appointment. I was told that Malaria would not be a problem unless we travelled to the islands - say Lombok, but to use mossie spray, to avoid Dengue Fever. Hep A immunisation (10 - 20 years protection) needs 2 shots, 6 to 12 months apart, and cost over $60 each; gamma globulin was short term only, (3 months) but was free! Other shots also should be up to date (polio, tetanus etc, ) and Measles! The centre was very helpful, and search for their website under "travellers medical" - located all around the world. Now all we have to do is wait for departure day.
