We have used many other hotels in the area but stayed at Besakih last Nov for the first time and will go back this year. Good value and very friendly and helpful staff. On arrival ask to see rooms in both the bungalow area and "motel" type block. We prefered the upstairs bungalow. As the other poster said the restaurant is not brilliant. There are plenty more close at hand. The hawkers are no great problem - if you are not in the market for anything don't look at the goods or make eye contact with the vendor!...Cheers..
