Theoretically, June is the low season. This is not to say it is empty. There are still loads of tourists, especially in the southern end of the island. We have always gone in June, as we are again this year, and have not had trouble finding rooms anywhere, sans reservations. As to getting a sunburn in June -- Bali is, after all, right on the equator, so if you stay out in the sun, yes, you will get a tan, just like at the beach. If you're inside getting a massage, well...you get the idea.
