My husband suffered those effects while we were on the stuff in West Africa. We felt we had to take anti malarials there because there is chloroquinine resistant strains of falciparum vivax, ... thats the nasty sort of malaria that can easily kill you.... I'd never take it again, especially in an area where the type of malaria is not as life threatening.
