I stayed in one of the homestays a few years ago and loved it - great views and the Dutch colonial feel to the place was quite different to anything else in Bali. You book through Puri Lumbung - but I doubt that you would need to except in July/August. We ate breakfast at Puri Lumbung (included in price) and other meals at warungs in nearby villages - Puri Lumbung does other meals as well but is more expensive. Not sure that I would recommend Munduk in the wet season though - its wetter and cooler than other parts of Bali. I think you need your own transport in that area. Try the coffee - supposedly they grow the best coffee in Bali in that area.
The other place to visit if you like places that are a bit out of the way and also a bit higher and cooler is Tirtagangga - I can rave on at length about why it one of the best places to visit in Bali so if you are intereested just e-mail me. It is slightly more touristy than Munduk though.
