Gary we always stay at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel in Bali. We have been back to the same hotel on 5 occasions. It is very safe to walk in the Nusa Dua area, including walking to the markets just outside the entrance to this area. The restaurants at the nearby Galleria are fantastic and quite reasonably priced. They will also come and pick you up and drop you off free of charge. Poan Mas is our favourite.
