The northern and north eastern beaches are black sand. Check out my website for a colourful boat on black sand at Amed. These boats are typical of the area. If you hire a driver guide he will be able to tell you of 'colourful' fishing villages. Good luck a real photographic feast awaits you in Bali. Sue
