I've been a faithful patron of Pande Permai on Monkey Forest Road over the past years, but my last experience (05/98) left me slightly unhappy : the arrival of a TV set seems to have taken much of staff attention's, especially in the evening (no more friendly Nyoman or Gede to talk to).
So basically, in case the TV set is still there, I might consider having a try at another hotel in the same service / price range :
- no air-con, no TV, no radio, but gamelan welcome
- QUIET small traditional hotel (8 to 10 rooms max)
- swimming pool, lush garden, view over the rice fields in the distance
- price range between 100 000 Rp and 150 Rp max.
I know i am a little bit specific, and the forum is not a travel agent, but I am pretty sure someone somewhere knows of such a great place.
And I will happily post my own "findings" when back from Bali by the end of April.
